Trying out building a personal website again
It's that time of the year when my fingers start itching. I want to learn and I want to build, but theres nothing really to build. So what do we build, we build a personal website again. And because I was listening to Syntax.fm, I fell into the sponsor trap and started using Prismic as a headless CMS on top of a Next.js app. The big question is, why am I still trying this.
I've had many many websites over the past 20 years. I started building websites when I was 12 years old and my first website was an unofficial The Offspring fan site. I doubt it had many visitors, but that never really was important to me. It was just a way to play around with the web. And that's what this is too. Just a personal playground. I added blog functionality, but there might be more stuff happening on and around this website. One thing you can look at is pineapple.jaap.ninja which is build using Svelte. Who know's what it will be, as a weird world is a better world, right?
In short, we're very much in development.
